Everyone!

Same as yesterday and everyday for the last 6 months.

every day is exactly the same

i believe i can see the future
'cause i repeat the same routine
i think i used to have a purpose
but then again
it might have been a dream

i think i used to have a voice
now i never make a sound
and i just do what i've been told
i really don't want
them to come around, oh no

every day is exactly the same
every day is exactly the same
there is no love here, and there is no pain
every day is exactly the same

i can feel their eyes are watching
in case i lose myself again
sometimes i think i'm happy here (sometimes)
sometimes, yet i still pretend

i can't remember how this got started
but i can tell you
exactly how it will end

every day is exactly the same
every day is exactly the same
there is no love here, and there is no pain
every day is exactly the same

i'm writing on a little piece of paper
i'm hoping someday you might find
well i'll hide it behind something
they won't look behind

i am still inside you
a little bit comes bleeding through
i wish this could have been any other way
but i just don't know
i don't know what else i can do

every day is exactly the same
every day is exactly the same
there is no love here, and there is no pain
every day is exactly the same
every day is exactly the same
every day is exactly the same
there is no love here, and there is no pain
every day is exactly the same

The Blues Are Still Blue by Belle and Sebastian that goes "I left my washing in the the laund-er-ette, you can put some money on it you can place a little bet that when I see-ee my washing the black will be grey, and the white will be grey, but the blues are still bluuuue...."

I bought the album the other week and am doing that thing where you get something you really like, and then listen to it far too much, and you know you're doing it, and you know you're going to get sick of it, but still put it on every day.

I have two songs alternating in my head at the moment, both part of an audio mixdown assignment I am working on at college. One is called 'Saving Grace' and I'm not sure whether it's a cover or an original song. The other is an acoustic melancholic version of 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun'.

I was listening to them for 4 hours solid yesterday, and now they just won't go away.

National Express by the Divine Comedy

The Divine Comedy National Express Lyrics

Take the National Express when your life's in a mess
It'll make you smile
All human life is here
From the feeble old dear to the screaming child
From the student who knows that to have one of those
Would be suicide
To the family man
Manhandling the pram with paternal pride
And everybody sings "ba ba ba da..."
We're going where the air is free
On the National Express there's a jolly hostess
Selling crisps and tea
She'll provide you with drinks and theatrical winks
For a sky-high fee
Mini-Skirts were in style when she danced down the aisle
Back in '63 (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
But it's hard to get by when your arse is the size
Of a small country
And everybody sings "ba ba ba da..."
We're going where the air is free
Tomorrow belongs to me
When you're sad and feeling blue
With nothing better to do
Don't just sit there feeling stressed
Take a trip on the National Express

Which by the way is the tune playing in the background in the UK Comedy Sketch show Titty Bang Bang when the female magician does the horrific things to her rabbit !
