    Hi,
Does anybody know what 500GB hd brand (even better if you know the model) does Apple use in its MacBook Pro 13" line?
I think it's Hitachi as mine came with a 160GB Hitachi drive, but I wanna make sure.
I bought a 500GB WD Scorpio Blue and I feel it's more louder than the stock Hitachi and it is continously parking its head while in stand by.
    Thanks in advance

The 7200's do run a bit louder and with a slight vibration from my experience.
But as long as its a WD, Seagate, Hitachi etc., I don't think there is much difference.

I did a (subjective) sound comparison of three 5400rpm drives. Check it out here:

My stock Hitachi 160Gb never made any head parking clicks and it was whisper quiet when idle (just as stated in the comparisons).
I only started listening heads parking when I installed the WD Scorpio Blue 500GB.
