Initially the tennis ball had the ability to turn on the lights. A few weeks later I get this message saying sorry, but I don't have "permission for that." Maybe it's mad at me and won't allow me to turn on my lights anymore. Maybe the last Microsoft update bungled this up. Oh, wait. This is an Apple product.
Or maybe you broke something when you threw it out the window

After three weeks it randomly stopped working. Following the troubleshooting list achieved nothing.

It's like a Windows machine. It's not working and nobody knows why.

So, this lame hardware is nearly bricked. I've rebooted everything - twice. Yet, during troubleshooting this POS hardware STILL plays music that I hate, didn't ask for, and isn't in any of my music lists.

You must have forgotten about this post, where someone warned you about the Home architecture upgrade that would be forced, and that your old devices would no longer work with Home. That deadline happened yesterday.

There have been plenty of reminders about it the past couple months as well.

I don't understand why you're complaining about this tennis ball. You knew it wouldn't be loud enough. You knew it wasn't a Bluetooth speaker, which is what you really wanted. You knew about the upcoming forced upgrade. Yet you still got it anyway...

Oh flip! Well, actually, I was controlling the lights without the ill-designed tennis ball. But, maybe I'm locked out entirely until I buy a $1500 iPhone or something?
