They make a "tire and wheel" version of the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser that I used to clean the wheels on my car - so cool!!! They made my wheels look much shinier for quite a while. :D The erasers are like nothing I've ever used before, but do disintegrate pretty easily and tear effortlessly.

hey mr cleans magic eraser works wonders on my ibook as well.. its really great stuff and i have had my ibook for 17 mos now and it pretty much still looks brand new! :)

Meh. Only in physics. In metaphysics, we're all nothing already.

Yes, but some of us are more nothing than others. :D

The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is amazing. I used one a couple of months ago and it's like "Wow! How does it do that?" It looks like it couldn't do anything but get the surface wet. I cleaned a painted door with no visible ill effects.

i know it works wonders on cars cause when i ran into a parking garage pole thing, the white paint was on my car and the magic eraser got it off :p ;)

edit - do u think it will scratch the new ipod?

Tried another product Biovez M-11 works as good.

A very impresive product indeed. Melamine sponge made to remove stains magically. tried it on my golf equipments and cleans my leather car interior back to new condition. Well worth the money. Cost less than Mr. Clean on retail shelves.

How many times a week do you use it on your car? :p <notices Boston and NY in location>

I just finally got around to buying a pack. These things are teh s3XX0rz! :)

I tried almost everything else to clean my palmrests...and wham. Amazing. :)

It is very interesting that it all seems to be the sponge / abrading qualities... it says that it will abrade your skin  , but it doesn't really seem to have nasty chemicals in it.

I bought a couple of packs after reading about them in another thread. Not only are my ibook palmrests clean; I was also able to get all the crayon marks and filthy handprints off of the walls in my house (small children). An incredible product.

I used them to clean the soap and mineral deposits off of my glass shower door. They just wiped that stuff away. They're pretty amazing.

Anybody in the UK have any luck getting some of these? My palm rests need a scrub too...

Yeah, I think we got ours from Wilkinson. Go in and ask if they have any of that special dirt-removing foam stuff, they'll almost certainly know what you mean. The stuff we have is a generic no-brand box.

I too clean my iBook with it (all sides) and it's magnificent. It also did a great job on my iPod's scroll wheel, which had got dirty after 18 months of use.

Thanks a lot, do you have it handy so I could get the real product name and not get a blank stare from their staff tomorrow?

Cheers for your help,

Wes

Yeah, those things are great! We have them at work and they clean stains up in 2 seconds. I had spent the good part of 10 minutes trying to work a stain off the inside of some shelves in our restaurant -- including using a Brillo type pad (or whatever those metaly scratchy things with blue cleaning stuff on them are) and a rag and cleaner. The owner handed me one of those Erasers and the stain came right off. No idea what's in them though...

Don't ever use them to clean crayon off of a wall; they leave a clean spot that makes it necessary to scrub the entire wall. Otherwise, they rock.

Well, thankfully, they're addictive, and you'll want to scrub the entire wall, and this will give you an excuse! :p ;) :D

Seriously...I had not heard of these before this thread, and I've since been accused of being a walking advertisement. I <3 them. :)

Isn't what they show on the commercial though? Some lady cleaning crayon off the wall?

FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!

I used one to take the black mold off the bottom of my bathtub (caused by a previous renter who didn't use the shower for six months). I tried everything from Comet with Bleach to Scrubbing Bubbles and nothing worked. Picked up a few Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and BAM... mold gone. Although it did destroy the eraser, but that was probably because of the tub's rigid non-skid surface.
