I was shocked to see this ad scroll from the left side to the center of the screen, pause for about 20 seconds, and disappear. What the heck is this? I know that Arn has said that if there are ads that are intrusive and obnoxious that he can choose not to use those ads. Surely this qualifies. Anyone else seen this?

Next time you see it, can you screenshot the top banner also and where it links to.

thanks

I had the same thing (it looks like the same ad) slide across my screen, too. Can't remember exactly, but it was some time yesterday evening. First time that's happened.

Are you seeing this ad while reading MR on OSX or Windows? Which browser were you using?

There's some Windows malware around that overlays third party ads onto websites that you're browsing.

(almost said 'on a Mac or a PC' )

OS X...Firefox.

I just saw this ad on Firefox/Windows. The banner at the top was for Microsoft adCenter. By the time I got the screenshot the popover was gone.

Typical.

Yep, saw exact same ad. Twice, but I forgot the first time I saw it. OS X FireFox. Forgot the screenshot hotkeys though...

I think the ad should be taken care of.
