What the heck is this?

Sorry for the n00b question, but this thing has been bothering me.

This symbol's been bothering me for a while. It sometimes appears when I open apps, or switch windows, it's pretty random. I tried to take screenshots of it before it disappeared. And today I (finally) succeeded!

I don't think it's anything harmful, but just curious.

Yeah, that's kinda hard to read; though the dark theme looks cool overall. 🙂

it is a skin called shapeshidter than effects every window (pretty much) in OSX. Makes everything darker, like the itunes screen shot^^

Yeah, only problem is some text is white, and impossible to read (for example, I have no idea how much i have left on my iTunes gift card.

press ctrl+alt+cmd+8, then you'll be able to read when you're trying to... well, hopefully that'll help. Also, you can always highlight it, right?

Hmm, at school so I can't try that right now, but even when I try to highlight it the text stays white. Oh well, only happens in iTunes and FF.
