What the hell happened to Preview!!!!!

I updated to Tiger and now my jpges open up with colorsync utility. Preview is not only no longer the default, its not even an option on open with options. What gives Tiger? I want colorsync gone and preview back.

Try this:

Get info
Open With...Other
Select Preview
Click Change All

That sounds like an anomaly.... FWIW this didn't happen to me when I upgraded to Tiger from Panther. Grapes' suggested fix should take care of you.

i would do this but preview is not allowed to be selected.

i had to select all appliations, it said that preview should not be used with this kind of file (jpeg) i changed it and now it works, but man that was weird.

Even though it now works, I'd repair permissions.

alright repaired permissions but i noticed that my adjustment only worked for that one pic. If i open up another jpeg it still opens in colorsync instead of preview. I click get info and change it to preview but I can't figure out how to do it for all images. grrrr

Dunno why. But you can just drag the GIF to the dock icon for Safari or Firefox, and they should open them with animations....
