suddenly I noticed these lines at the bottom of my iMac screen while I wake it up as usual from sleep mode. My iMac all along work fine just got it 2024 .
Yes.... I do two restart never go away...... I check around is not just me, quite a few users also mention Suddenly these lines appear after one or two years using it. Do note I never play games , Only just watch youtube videos and Stream. I doubt it will overheat my iMac GPU. DAM......…and the lines don't go away?
See if Apple Diagnostics will tell you anything.
Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support
Apple Diagnostics, formerly known as Apple Hardware Test, can check your Mac for hardware issues.support.apple.com
It's probably not necessary to run any software updates before you run Apple Diagnostics.
yeah....and others " quite a lot " https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...horizontal-lines-appearing-on-screen.2438806/Might be the display controller developing a hardware defect on those lines. It happens, and you might have the bad luck of being the 1 in 50000 that it happens to.
I check under Apple icon there , they will show it is still under warranty etc. Is already Expire...It could still be under warranty. Contact Apple Support.
No use... I been searching here even check out any from Singapore. I do happen to see some Singapore user also encounter this problem, go Apple Store. They just mention pay to get fix since warranty is over.. I check more in Apple Official community support a lot M1 to M3 users also claim suddenly these lines just appear after one , 2 years of usage...Contact Apple support, write users that had this happen to them what they did.
It looks like a MacBook with a broken screen, at least that’s how one of mine looked when the bottom right corner cracked.
..... and you might have the bad luck of being the 1 in 50000 that it happens to.
The number was just a random placeholder for whatever the actual number is.Source?
Learn from the UE 🤪It’s ridiculous manufacturers/retailers only have to offer a one year warranty service
I agree, take it to the apple store and sometimes they will bend the rules to get it fixedIt’s ridiculous manufacturers/retailers only have to offer a one year warranty service.
I’m sorry for the situation you’re in OP.
I don’t know what else to say, I would be between furious and sad if I was in your shoes.
