Anandtech.com's The Macbook Pro Review (13 & 15-inch): 2011 Brings Sandy Bridge - 6Gbps SATA was out two months ago. Their site is far from being silent.
Also, the information in this article has already been posted and discussed all over this same exact forum. So, the information was already available for the OP to find, before they bought the MBP. If they asked an Apple representative if it had two 6Gbps SATA ports and they told them it did, when it clearly does not, then I could see the OP possibly having a reason to consult an attorney.
However, I personally feel the OP probably assumed it did, instead of actually taking the time to know it does not. Which is their own negligence when they intend to modify the computer in a manner that would void out the warranty, because it changes the product from its intended use.
It's under the 14 days, if they're so unhappy with it, then they should take it back for a refund.
