What this SFX? (I'm a newbie).

Once in a while, there's this sweeping WOOH sound effect that happens but I have no idea what that means.

If you guys know what I'm talking about , please let me know.

Hahahaha, errr. Hmmm.

The "mail sent" sound in OS X's Mail makes a swooshing noise - like a jet flying past. Is that the noise?

I thought it was the mail sound too but I wasn't getting any mail nor was I sending any ... so i don't know.
