What time do pre-orders start on Apple.com?

I did a search and didn't find a thread about this. What time do pre-orders start? I pre-ordered the 3GS from the Apple Store, but I can't remember what time it started.

you remember wrong. preordering for the 3gs started right after steve left the stage.
