I have been reading some reports online that in some countries Apple updates stock at 6 am local time. Does anyone know, if that includes the United States or would it be at 8am, in the states? Don't see any changes at the moment. I am trying to reserve for pick up in a store Thanks.

My experience last year with the 7 was that it is real time or close to real time. I say that because my local stores would show no stock in the AM but then in early afternoon would show stock -- so much have received a shipment that AM. iStockNow is a good place to keep an eye on stock IMHO. It's a bit quicker than the Apple Store plus you can bookmark the exact model you want to save time.

Whenever Apple Store receives shipment, it gets updated to their inventory. So really any time of the day. You can go to istocknow.com and set notifications to e-mail you.

As of now roughly 8:15am eastern time no Apple stores in NYC are showing any stock of the phone.

I set iStockNow up to email me the other day when model and such I wanted was in stock. It was sending emails at 0600 sharp(I set for all 256 models originally) and periodically mid day/afternoon. Yesterday around 1500 it sent notification for what I wanted, popped over to apple store app and BAM

Have faith lots of inventory it seems just have to be quick and watch phone at 6am and mid day for their shipment. they go VERY fast. In my scenario if I wasn’t acting in ~5 minutes I was out of luck.
