By experience, i arrived around 3:00 am at the Upper west Side NYC apple store and the line was already more than a block long. I sat and waited and by the time the store opened the line didn't move, at least for me on the back, i walked around and noticed three times the number of people that were originally in the line. by the time i was able to get my phone it was already 1:00pm in the afternoon. Although apple gave us some doughnuts and coffee i will never camp again for any product. Maybe i wanted to have that feeling of "been there and done that" lol

Well don't forget, you were in frickin NYC. The Upper West Side of NYC. You were effed from the get-go lol. You had to be there a year beforehand to get outta there in a reasonable amount of time. There's over a million living in Manhattan as I'm sure you know and nowhere near enough stores to go around. They need them things like Starbucks for these events lol.

Probably, but we intend leaving very soon for the store here...

I have no idea what the hell I'd do for that amount of time. I was concerned about having to take a leak over a 3+ hour period. 15 hours? Fuhgeddaboudit.
