Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone had good advice on the timing of the launch. I know At&t opens at 9:00am, and I also know that there are going to be many people waiting in line. What time do you think you make me guaranteed a new device...preferably a black iPhone 6s 64 or 128gb?

Thanks!

For iPhone launch our stores open at 8a.m.
I can't speak for other locations, but people lined up as early as 11pm the night before. I would recommend getting there very early morning. The fewer people in front of you, the better your chances of getting the phone you want.
The 6s 64gb sg is a very reasonable model to pick. There should be stock of that. Definitely have a back up choice though.

When I went last year I got there at 6PM the night before and I was 7th in line, people got there at 10AM that morning. By the time the store was opens the line wrapped around the store.

I went to ATT store late morning. They were out of a few models at the time and told people so that were waiting outside. By time I got to the head of the line, some more phones came. So, for some models, mid day was a better move.

It all depends on where you go. I went last year to ATT. The good thing is i am in midtown..And there was the Grand Central Apple Store as well as the 5th ave apple store. And there were about 3 ATT stores in between. I went to the biggest one. I got there around 4:30am or so. i was the 3rd person in line. i would have been second but i stopped to grab something from Dunkin Donuts. It was fun as hell. Met some cool people and we took bets on the Iphone 6 plus inventory. They only got 25 iphone 6 pluses in stock and only 5 64gb. i would say go go as early as possible. Bring a battery pack, some granola and make a night of it.

I went at 8am and got my phone that was the max capacity. The 16gb phones were gone quickly as were the gold phones. Point being the big space gray models were well stocked.

Last year the ATT stores around here for 2-4 devices and all were the 16gb device. I would ask the night before what devices they have in stock. If they're unwilling to tell you that maybe ask if they at least have more than just 16gb

Stock seems better this year and all stores handle lines differently. If they're in a mall I have seen all carriers "pull" from the main iPhone line. If they're a standalone store you may have much better luck. The standalone stores around here didn't have people waiting until about 4-5 am.

I'm already there. There is about 27 people here already. Better hurry up.
You're sad...you know I will get it the same day as you right and I didn't even break a sweat. Idk will you get it for cheaper if you got it in store or what come on. People have nothing better to do with their lives

I was wondering the same. I asked the guy at the att store and he said he didn't expect a line but I don't know about that. He also said there would only be 1 of each phone ie: 1 6s 64 gold, 1 6s plus rg.

I'm not gonna risk it and go a couple hours early that morning

Being an ATT employee myself, that information doesn't sound to accurate. I'd just go early like you're planning on.
