Hi,

I got an app in the App Store. I got exactly one review, which is a very negative review from some guy, he wrote that many of the features I advertise don't really exist in the app. This is wrong, the features are all there, the chap apparently just didn't find them.

Since the guy wrote his review (which unfortunately is the only review), I didn't sell any copies of my app in that store. I'm all for critique, but this s*cks, since the review's just wrong!

I have already submitted an update that makes the features more easy to find, but the guy might already have deleted the app and not edit his review after the update. I also thought about making some friends write positive reviews (telling that the features are in the app), but that's pretty unfair...

Is there any way to get in touch with that guy (to explain that the features actually are in the app)? How do / did / would you deal with wrong app reviews?

Well the new update will 'hide' that review anyway, the rating will remain but the text won't.

Pop out some promo codes (here is always good) and people will be able to put in the reviews which will help.

Ultimately as I understand it, unless it's a really vicious review you're kind of stuck to taking it on the chin and working to improve your self admittedly flawed UI (you said they weren't easy to find, perhaps they should be easier :))

Anyway hope that all helps.

I'm not sure, but I've heard that if reviews are wrong (and this seems to be the case) and totally negative, the owner of the app can communicate it to the Apple, and they will remove the unfair review and rating (once they check it's actually wrong).

let us know ;)
