So, my cell phone plan is up in February (it seems to have dragged on endlessly) and I am interested in purchasing an iPhone.

So, the question is...do I wait for the new iPhone to come out, or do I purchase now? (Is it expected to be discussed at MacWorld '08?)

Is there a rumor to the expected date of the new release, or an expected season?
