Is there any kind of standard things you guys do when you're sending something in for repair?

I'm gonna be taking pictures, as my iPhone is pristine, and if it comes back all scratched up, I'm gonna pwn their ass ^^.

Any other things I should do?

thanks

1, back it up
2, wipe it
3, write down serial number off bk
4, time/date stamped photos
5, slap in original box and ship.

Haha, ok good :)

Other than the above, I would say invest in a cryogenic freezing chamber to try and get through the next few days without an iphone... I would never make it through day 1

Good Luck!!

LOLOL!! Me neither, I asked if they could ship me one out before they said "Sure, but we have to hold £500 on your credit card if you want it" So screw that. Only takes 2 days to get it back, so I'll survive.. Maybe, only problem I'm gonna have is not having my actual phone functionality to hand.

Btw, How can I timestamp photos? Any app for OS X to pull it off the EXIF?

Well, the guy I spoke to says that they're gonna fix it, however that's alot of soldering? :s

I've never mailed in my iPhone so I'm not sure. I was wondering because every time I've had a problem with mine I go to the genius bar and they swap it out for a refurb. I've heard that they simply test the one you turned in later and if they find a problem fix it, replace the outer shell and put it back in the refurb cycle.
