Torrent revolution? Faster torrents for everyone!

I probably shouldn't have said that... :p

What should you do with 20 mbps up/down stream?

If we all answered that honestly there'd be a lot of deleted posts and banned users.

I just discovered that Verizon has a 20/20 fios option at my address, so naturally I upgraded without having the slightest idea what I'm going to do with all of that upstream bandwidth. Anybody have a suggestion? Currently I'm thinking about:

or

id just download everything you can haha..

Hi
Continue doing what I do now but mainly just be glad that I know I'd be host on every game on Xbox Live. :D

My grandparents have FiOS. They just use it for TV and phone. :p

I don't have FiOS. :(

dgouldin, beware of crappy routers dying under the new upload.

Be glad you have DSL. I live in the middle of nowhere and have to trust and EDGE aircard to do what I need....

Back to extreme internet speeds, you should head to speedtest.net to see how fast your internet really is.

Only 20? Hmm...I get 35-38 on my FiOS. ;) It's only supposed to be 15/15, but for some reason I get 15/35 on my connection. I thought about hosting my own site, but I decided not to and just with what I got.

Boy you guys with the faster FiOS are lucky. I only get 15 mbps down and about 2 mbps up here in Texas! We're still luckier than those on 56k;)!

It's been at least a year since I read over the Fios terms of service, but I believe they forbid you from running any sort of server on their service. Obviously you could get away with your own personal site, but I wouldn't feel comfortable if it attracted high volume traffic.

As for routers, some cheapo SoHo crumble under high load (high volume of connections) so it could be a concern when you have that much bandwidth at your disposal.

As for what I'd do with that bandwidth... BT and brag. :)

Pssh 20/20, how about 50/20!

This thread almost made me cry. In my entire area, the best I can get is 1.5 down / 840 up. It's depressing.
