you have 85 THOUSAND kb/s, not 85 kb/s lol.
im so jealous, your upload speed is up the crapper but
hahaha boasting is the way to go. i feel for you with 256kb (i now have been upgraded to 1mb though). hopefully u can get faster soon haha.
I'm in the boat with both of you. 128kb here.
I just discovered that Verizon has a 20/20 fios option at my address, so naturally I upgraded without having the slightest idea what I'm going to do with all of that upstream bandwidth. Anybody have a suggestion? Currently I'm thinking about:

or

I'm not sure what to do with mine... I'm currently on Fibre-Optic supposed to be capable of 120mbps (symmetric),
though normal is 100mbps. However, on some server it goes to
and on other's much higher!! and it's all uncapped!![]()
UNCAPPED!?!?!?!?!
you cannot be serious. i am soo incredibly jealous of that. that is simply amazing. im on ADSL2+ with 1mb UPL i get 25gb for $100AU per month, then capped back to dial up speeds.
the cheapest ADSL2+ around here is $70 for 200gb per month. here is australia there is literally no such this as "fully" uncapped. and its very expensive.
is yokohama in the US?
ROFL @ "is yokohama in the US"
Nope, both Yokohama and Tokyo are in Japan.
And YESS!! It's completely uncapped, at the moment I'm paying something in the region of 4000 JPY/M (approx $46.47 AUD), for this I get unlimited internet, Fibre-Optic Digital TV and IP phone!!
Oh, NTT gave me 6months free service cause at the time they had a promo going...![]()
i have little experience outside australia![]()
That's no excuse, you're only 7,200km away from there!
This thread almost made me cry. In my entire area, the best I can get is 1.5 down / 840 up. It's depressing.
Then there are guys like me who are too cheap to get this.I'm paying something in the region of 4000 JPY/M (approx $46.47 AUD), for this I get unlimited internet, Fibre-Optic Digital TV and IP phone!!
technically dont you have much much faster than a 1.5 connection??
648*8=5184.. seems much faster than a 1.5mbps connection to me
Not really...
I would be getting a (Up to 1.5 Mbps) if I didnt live so far from the central server of ATT... so yeah
I get half of that
ok your talking in megabytes... where we are we talk in megabits. major difference.
Ah my apologies... I still get confused about the changing of the b's and yeah..
still I have a slow connection... lol
