It will still work fine to play your music library, view movies and pictures.

Yes even I have an iPad 3 (2012) release it is still good for playing Spotify, Watching Movies etc but any browsing or using any other APP on it is a Pain in the A** !!

Load all the streaming apps, all HomeKit compatible apps, then you have powerful remote. Control your household and air play or Cast streaming video on your tv’s...
