Water and Electronics can coexist.

We see this all the time. Usually it is the result of flooding, overly enthusiastic firefighters, and even hungry toilets. We use "Ultra Sonic Chambers". The chamber is a stainless steel vat filled with Deionized water. We use it to clean many items from soot covered statues, to TV's/comnputers/phones. I could not believe it! We dunk the item into the chamber for a short period and then we place the item into a very arid space to dry it quickly. This allows the item to dry before it can corrode or rust. You should be able to do a search for Ultra Sonic Chamber in your area. You reach me at PDRbroward.com if you need more info. Insurance companies use them to dry various contents because it costs much less to clean and dry electronics than it does to replace them.

Since Apple's policy is to NOT replace water damaged goods its best to set your expectations at that level BUT head into a store and be REALLY polite, apologetic and sincere...

You might just get a nice surprise ... since more people are generally decent sometimes they don't like sending someone away disappointed .. u might get lucky

FYI for anyone with a dead/udeless iphone. I got $100 dollars for it from buymytronics.com. I was shocked that they would give that much for it. I had to dig it out of the trash :D

Alright I just broke my iPhone and it void the warranty but they said that they would overide the price to 199 for a new iPhone instead of paying 499...
