Make it a clock! Its not very quick, but it looks cool, I put a tiny desk from Ikea next to my bed and the iMac on it with Fliqlo running

G5 drives were SATA, the iMac G3's need PATA drives. I have a 40 gig with Tiger on it let me know if you want.

Also I think the optical drive fix for the G4 Cube works on the iMac G3, it's an adapter of some sort that makes it possible to use a modern laptop hard drive with the iMac. Also is this a slot loader or tray loader?

Yeah, I know its a PATA, I my self have a PATA to USB adaptor, I was just hoping/assuming you had one.

I don't understand? Are you saying you need a firewire enclosure for a 3.5 PATA drive? I think you can just pop a 3.5 drive in there, as long as it's got Tiger on it and you have enough ram (256mb) AND as long as you don't have a tray loader, in which case you would have to make a dual partition on the drive.

If you meant the optical drive, there is an adapter that was sold for the Cube that I 've seen work on iMac G3's. The problem with the iMac G3's was that only the iMac G3 DV had a dvd/cd read only drive, which turned out to be the most coveted for the whole line of Cubes and IMG3's.

But either I skipped it or I don't know what model you have. It should be on the underside of the machine or the side somewhere.

BTW, I have a full set of iMac DV400 and iMac 500 G3 cds, if you need those. I think it is an early version of Jaguar or whatever 10.1X is

Plus, if you wanted the early versions on that G3, PPC Archive has the final betas for download.
