I bought a MacPro1,1 a few years ago as a "hobby" machine. Done all the usual upgrades... CPU, GPU, 2,1 firmware, Yosemite on SSD (since removed and redeployed to another machine). But I've grown tired of the never-ending upgrade, re-patch cycle.

Selling it on ebay seems more trouble than it's worth, since it'd probably fetch no more than shipping cost, and I'd have to bother with packing and shipping a 50lb beast.

Is it permissible to offer it here (for free) to someone here who might want a "hobby" machine to tinker with? Everything works.

Sorry, local Denver CO pick-up only. Absolutely *no* shipping.

If you have a high enough postcount, you can list it in the marketplace forum. What video card & SSD you have in it? My 1,1 is getting long in the tooth...
