1. Is there anything wrong with buying a 13.3 2011 MBP from micro center. They have the $1000 which is just awesome. Beats the apple price, even with the back to school sale...
2. Now I already have a 2009 MBP. I may be selling it earlier than when I get my new laptop. What's the best way to transfer files AND settings? I have backups with time machine. Does that do settings too? If I have both comps at once I will use migration assistance but if I don't what's my nect best option? This 2011 will be replacing my 2009.
Thanks in advance!

You can use the Migration Assistant with either the other Mac or Time Machine. Either way, you will be given the same choices as to what to migrate (settings, files, applications, etc.). Usually, you'd migrate everything (that still leaves you with an essentially "clean" install - only adding any additional files you might have).

Perfect! So TM does do settings. I guess then I'm set. Thanks!
