Finally, I'd love to see a touchscreen iMac this year.
No thanks! If they go this route, I hope there’s a “no touchscreen” option. Fingerprints on my screens are a big no-no in my world. Additionally, I’ve used a Windows desktop/laptop touchscreen at work, and didn’t find them very ergonomical.

If apple switches over to ARM based macs, I guess that means no more Boot Camp / Windows compatibility?

Windows runs on ARM.

Lol @ the "Apple Tags"...

Apple Tags are near to the top of my wish list. Everyone is looking for something different.

by the time one purchases 6 Apple Watch stainless steel watches that outdate each iteration; they could have invested in a Rolex DJ and had a timeless classic that would last forever. Cost difference after 8 would nearly be a wash.

What fitness apps run on a Rolex? Can you use it as a stand alone phone or do you need to connect to your primary phone by Blue Tooth? If you don't update your Rolex every few years, how do you deal with changes in WiFi standards and such? After a few years, all your Rolex would be good for would be telling you the time.

What is to stop you from using a track pad on a touch screen Mac? You can touch, but you are not forced to do so. If noting else, they have this new stuff called Windex.

The only thing that could get my money is the SE2. And ONLY if it retains the home button and headphone jack. Else, it is like all the other phablets.

An iMac redesign with larger screens and slimmer bezels, Face ID and flash storage as standard across the board should be Apple's highest priority for 2020.

in 23-inch and 30-inch sizes.

iAgree! iMac really needs better design that is not so outdated. The bezels are awful. Reduce those and make the screen bigger. XDR shows what can be done with a screen/bezels so lets take some of that and apply it to iMac. I think the bezels should be at least half the size they are now.
The pics you posted are quite good but I would do more :)

How awful are those bezels you ask? This awful:

Apple's current biggest problem isn't the hardware right now, it's their software QA. Their iOS 13 and Catalina releases were some of the worst I've seen in a decade. They should've focused on stability and only introducing features when they're ready to go, like iOS 12/HS.

That’s a little harsh imo. While 13 and Catalina has issues, it is nowhere near the mess when iOS 10 or Yosemite was released.

According to the SEC filings, Apple had NO long-term debt until (their) FY2013 ... now their long-term debt stands at just-under $100B USD !

You do realise they are still Net Cash positive? They have been buying back shares with debt borrowing from oversea cash. That was well known.

For a 1.3T Dollar company, I expected more.

Work on Apple Card Worldwide. I hope they have learned something from their somewhat slow Apple Pay roll out.

Learn something from Apple TV + and Apple Arcade. Although judging from Apple Music, I dont have much faith.

CarPlay - Have they forgotten about it? Are they still pushing Car Manufacturers?

Software - UX, Swift. Engineering. I think for Software they will need to slow down and think carefully. Especially in their Application Layer.

Apple Store, Apple needs a few dozen or more Apple Store Intentionally. Apple US is roughly 40% of its revenues but 60% of its Apple Store are located in US, not to mention the third party repair and partnership with Best Buy etc are much more widely available. The whole thing has been like neglected since Ron Johnson left. John Browett messed it up, Angela fixed a few thing and introduce more mess one way or another. Deirdre O'Brien has been fixing policy, or basically reverting every policy back to Steve Jobs era. While she might have been the perfect for running Apple Retail for now, I am not sure if she is good enough for growing Apple Retail.

Most of the hardware faults with Apple are obvious, their overall experience is not as good as it used to be and has many loose ends.

I can’t help but think that the ARM Mac is more likely going to be more like a MacBook running iPad OS. Like they did with the Newton and the eMate.

I doubt we see a Macbook running iPadOS alas Chromebooks, that would be just an iPad with a fix keyboard. ARM's are perfectly cappable of running the same x86 apps, they just need to be recompiled for ARM and it seems Apple is trying to allow that execution of ARM-x86 apps without recompilation and without emulation with the project Catalyst. Maybe they'll achieve it by forcing devlopers to release specific binaries/executables or whatever, now that they have a strong grip over devs with App Store + the app notarizations.

Hey...Uhh...Eric?

Not sure if you’ve been following the news at all in the last six months, but Apple openly admitted the AirPower will never come to fruition. #NotHappening. ?
Never is a very long time. The technology to do it to Apple's standards is not ready. Perhaps a year from now; Perhaps five.

1. So I take it you don't like iPads?

2. You are aware that you don't actually HAVE to touch the screen on a Windows laptop? (You can disable it entirely)

3. Drawing and/or making music on an iMac doesn't appeal to you?

4. Did you notice that Microsoft solved the ergonomics issue with the Surface Studio?

I think something like the below would be nice from Apple, although I agree that Apple would have to give "iMacOS" real Mouse functionality, not the crappy iPadOS version:

The question is, how big of a difference between Apple's custom CPU and ARM CPUs
Android phones are ARM based, so is the iPhone, but you can’t get iOS or it’s apps to easily run on Android. Remember the x64 isn’t JUST about the processor, it’s all the support chips that are expected to work a specific way. The Mac is built on x64, making Boot Camp possible. Remove x64, and there goes Boot Camp. Very few will miss it.
eventual future of the iMac, and I still think that.
Not unless the future of the iMac is going to be really expensive. A monitor of THAT quality isn’t needed on an iMac.

And, Apple has said they don’t plan to do that, so, it’s a cool thing to think about, but not as likely as some of the other guesses.

You only quoted the parts of my post that you chose to read, I was referring to the stand not the display itself.

Macrumors better remove those airtags mockup for your own credibility.

Introducing the new apple airtags, now everything can wobble like your iPhone!

All I want is a "new no problem iPhone" in 2020. I suffer from WiFi drop/ LTE drop/ call drop issues on my iPhone XS till date without any solution from apple's firmware and software updates. The fact is it's a huge flaw at hardware design itself which apple knew but refused to accept. Hope so called genius apple engineers don't make me lose another $$$$ on a garbage.

Hate noticing MacRumors suddenly stopped even mentioning the 14inch MacBook Pro ever since that one counter article.

Seems to me as if Apple would’ve contacted them and said “stop talking about 14inches; its never happening”.

Don't expect too much from MR. They just cut and paste what real journalists say.

Not mentioning the upcoming gaming Mac ...

Why should Apple release a new 16" screen already?

It’s interesting that news on the iMac has gone so dark. I’m willing to bet that at WWDC, we’ll see a redesigned ARM powered iMac - along with a brand new ARM MacBook.

13/13.5/14 inch MBP with the new keyboard seems to be a given at this point, as satisfaction with the new 16 inch seems to be so high.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Air gets the scissor keyboard too, only if for cost reasons (manufacturing and warranty) & sticks around for a year or so for those that still want/need an intel consumer laptop.

The choice won’t be confusing for consumers, as I expect that the MacBook will see prices akin to the iPad Pro plus smart keyboard.
