Apple “can’t wait” and I “can’t wait” to try iOS 16 public betas.
Yeah I’m waiting for AirPods Pro 2 to go along with my iPhone 13 and future MacBook 15”. Waited this long with my Xiaomi airpods I’m not getting on the last gen tech at the last possible moment.Regarding Back to School free AirPods promo, Apple allowed customers to pay the difference toward AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro in the past. It's too bad AirPods Pro 2 isn't out yet.
I was disappointed by the lack of the iconic tapered design on the new MacBook Air until I learned that it was miraculously only .44” thick.
My math might be off, but it seems the new MBA is slightly larger by volume. MBA M1's volume is about 39.5 cubic inches, whereas M2's is 44.6 cubic inches.
I personally dig the wedge-shape MBA, which helps me quickly tell which side is the the front, and its gentler slope lessens the front side's corner sharply cutting into my wrists.
I obviously haven't been paying attention. What are the issues with the M1? What are the problems with the ASD? I ask because I have both and have no issues with either one. Thanks.I figure the "M2" generation will fix the issues that have surfaced in the M1 generation. I am delaying replacing my two old 27" Apple monitors until we see the rumored unit this fall. The new current monitor has it's own issues and the first generation "blues".
I tried it on iPhone 13 Pro. The phone overheats often and correspondingly, poor battery life. When your phone is hot for prolonged period, it can shorten its battery capacity (battery health).Only one mention of the betas being buggy here. Anyone else with experience to share?
"Miraculously"?! Did you forget the /s? 😎
The M2 MBA's squared front edge is almost 3x as high as the front edge of the M1 MBA (.44" vs. .16") and a whopping 4x as high as that of the 2013-2017 MBA series, which was a minimalist .11".Its front edge is closer in height to that of the MBP's proverbial .61" dig-into-one's-palm than it is to the MBA's.
Even their average height is less than that of the M2 MBAs!
Those originals went from .11" to .68" -- or, average of slightly under .4". The M1 MBAs go from .16" to .63" -- or, again, an average of ~ .4". Both under .44" of the new M2 so-called "Airs".
Good insights!
It's time we stopped emphasizing the M2 MBA's supposed "thinness"!
Still looking forward to the iMac-colored, white M2/M3 MBA versions with the real MBA tapered design, coupled with MagSafe and a USB-C port on each side. One can only hope...
I can't wait!July is also an exciting month for Apple’s iPhone/iPhone 14 production will take place.
Expecting some juicy leaks in the following month.
Indeed, if you're mostly multiplying out W x H x D (taking the varying depth on the front and back into account, of course), you may be overestimating the size of the M1 model - since like basically all previous Mac laptops, the top and bottom panels (on the M1 model) taper off as they approach the edges (you'd have to resort to 3D models or wrapping them both in plastic and seeing how much water they displace to get a really accurate volume). My math might be off, but it seems the new MBA is slightly larger by volume. MBA M1's volume is about 39.5 cubic inches, whereas M2's is 44.6 cubic inches.
