Mate this low cost MacBook is going to be WORSE than the m1 MacBook Air with a worse screen ! Damn... (yes ok new design, better single core but that's it)

For all the others ok another meh chip upgrade...
Here are great new products that look exactly the same as the old products! You can only tell they are new by the price and if you run speed test software that nobody in the real world actually uses! We have told you you are going to love them!

WWDC and the Apple Experience are the only events in the first half of this year. I wonder if they will use this time to announce something to coincide with the 50th anniversary on 1 April.

The limited maximum RAM capability of the A19 means it definitely will be a dumbed down M1 Air. No Thunderbolt port either. What could the A19 MacBook offer that is better than an M1 Air?
Well with the A18/19 you get a newer and more efficient underlying instruction set, and ray tracing support i suppose. Better battery life?!? The A19 Pro with 12 GB RAM would be ideal as its the newest A chip (essentially a downscaled M5).

Looking forward to seeing all the new devices. Not sure whether cellular connectivity will make it to the new MacBook Pros. Hopefully the colors on the new MacBook with A series chip will be bright. Overall all the products will be a minor update only but still will be an exciting week! Think pricing for all the products should remain the same as it is now and the new A series MacBook will most likely be priced at $799 at the most.

I’ve just checked and both Studio Display and Pro Display XDR have delivery times of around 3 weeks currently for the standard specs.

Seems likely they will be updated soon but no mention in this article.

This constant nonsense about telling people to wait for the M6 is really making me want to leave this site as a source for Apple news. Even if you think that OLED is an upgrade, which it isn't, telling someone to get the first version of a new device is always a bad idea. Especially if they make it "thinner and lighter" which will lead to significant downgrades in several areas. It's just bad advice. The M5 Pro/Max will most likely be like the 2015 MacBook Pro, the last one before they added the TouchBar and the Butterfly keyboard, meaning it will be THE MacBook to buy for a couple of years.

Oopsie... Why did always oh so accurate macrumours stop rumors about Studio Display? Please, please, please, we'd like to know! Is it because Apple sells the current models and they're being delivered in 24h or what? Please contact your most reliable rumor source from China and ask for the latest. Thank you.

99% of all compamies are attention seekers that only want your money - that's all.

Honestly, the companies that I stay with, is those that don't mail me about all ****, and ask me to rate them and their products all the time. If they do that, no way I rate them at all.

Regaeding Apple, ah well, I read MacRumors.
Wasting time on watching time hearing Cook's Good Morrrrrrrrrning makes me sick. That's all, for now.

A lower price.

Just as the “e” iPhone is a cheaper, lower spec version of the base iphone.

It’ll have three main aims 1) to be a more affordable entry into Mac 2) bulk sakes ( i.e. educational institutions - since COVID, iPads and phones don’t have positive connotations for education - phones and iOS are being banned from classrooms rather than being treated as an educational tool) 3) to act as a lever to upsell to an MacBook Air.

But let’s wait and see. Rumours are … only rumours.

The one thing that annoys are the constant posts saying „this will be rubbish, it’ll never replace my maxed out MBP M4 Max.”

It’s idiotic to say this. It’s not meant to replace any current MacBook.

Buy what fits your use cases. Buying tech above or below the level of your usecases is dumb as a bag of rocks.

Overspending on stuff you don’t need isn’t a „flex”, it is a sign of gullibility.

Gone are the days with Jobs announcing new innovative devices that haven’t already been leaked.

The “leaking” trend over the past decade has starting to do more harm than good to Apple. The benefit of leaks is keeping shareholder and potential shareholders interested, but that’s a car of finishing returns, and, as you say, it’s killed any real excitement and anticipation in new product releases/events - the excitement is now just performative and solely being performed by YouTubers and site like MR - manufactured enthusiasm for clicks.

I guess that’s what this multi-location experience is about -less about the products and more about feeding raw material for content directly to influencers worldwide.

Give me an M5 MacBook Air with ProMotion and an upgraded Apple TV and I'd be happy to spend my accumulated Apple Gift cards.

A much lower selling price

And bright fun colors, lighter weight, and smaller size.

Easy to schlep everywhere, take on trips, use at a coffee shop, music studio, run astro programs under the stars, and have as a playful alternative or travel companion to a desktop machine!

Lots of uses and, if priced right, it will sell like hotcakes!
