Add it to the 3% yesterday and more before that. They can have the best report ever and they will still tank.
So I assume you're shorting the stock then if you're so sure? Would be easy money for you if you're confident you are right.

Also they are up overall this week still at this moment so that's kinda funny for a "tanking" stock.

I'm wondering if any of the analysts will be silly enough to ask about the gambling ads fiasco. As you said, I bet they wouldn't be invited back next quarter.

It would be even more interesting if they ask if the USB-C ruling from Europe will affect future product plans.

BL.

Apple will report a good solid quarter. An All Time Record Quarter :)

But that doesn't necessarily mean the stock will go up.

Nevertheless, I just bought Dec 3 155 Call options and February 155 Call options. ($3.80 and $7.50 respectively).

It's a strange world. What kind of market dynamic is it that drops AAPL $5.00 today Oct 27th 2022?

Hindsight is always 20/20.

Will it be another "Booya Apple!" ?

I think so :)

iPhone 14ProMax is awesome and so is the Watch Ultra. The AirPods Pro generation 2 have super good noise cancellation and are practically a hearing augmentation device (hearing-aid for cool aging boomers).

It's a mega big company, so even just a little bit of growth is just fine, and a lot of Apple has double digit growth still!

They could I suppose. The company is the very strongest though. But yah - the market doesn't always have to make sense. Stock traders actions matter the most for the stock price, and there are tons of good value stocks out there, not just Apple. But jeez - crazy volatility for a sure thing.

Apple isn't going away anytime soon right? Funny stuff

Weak hands often sell before earnings anyway.

Could be

I think it's a strong case argument that Apple should be doubling the dividend payouts to reign in the ridiculous volatility. Share buybacks might be good, but not when we have the worlds biggest and best company shares moving like a penny stock.

It's always a great day not to be Mark Zuckerberg. But what a great day not to be Mark Zuckerberg.

But don't be surprised that Apple may not be sanguine in its outlook, especially with the slowing economy and potentially serious supply chain issues due to a potential rail strike in the USA.

It's easy. In every economic situation some people benefit and some lose. Just because they continue to rake in money consistent with inflation doesn't mean there is not a recession. The C level executives are never going to feel any pressure. It's everyone else that's just making a regular salary and is not getting raises. People are getting laid off. Just because the richest company in America continues to make money does not mean that the recession is "fake."

Apple specifically caters to the "recession-proof" market.

Well, GDP today was up. It's positive at 2.6%.

2 quarters of negative GDP. We are still in the positive! What recession?

Yah, but no. They are still supply constrained on iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max - Tim Cook was quoted saying that.

Quote GDP to all the people I know whose gas and food prices are going up but their paychecks aren't.

Recession or not, inflation is painfully real. I don't see how it can lead to anything but recession or worse, even if it technically hasn't yet.
