I have an 8 core 2.8 Mac pro with 10gb ram, the 8800 GT video card and 4 sata drives.
I also have a santa rosa MBP with the 2.4 processor, 4 gb ram and a 160 7200rpm hard drive.
I run Adobe Master Collection CS3 and FCP Studio 2.
What sort of performance improvements can I expect with Snow Leopard?
Will the OS or softwares use multiple cores and ram better? Will the hard rives work faster?
Will I need to update the two app suites I listed before I can see any real improvement in performance?
I understand that maybe the CS5 versions from Adobe will finally make full use of ram and multiple processors. What about FCP?
Will Snow Leopard only improve performance on the latest/upcoming hardware or will my older machines see a noticeable performance improvement?

There is a sticky at the top of the Mac OSX page that has everything you need to know. Use the search function or your eyes.
