As of now, I actually only care about what's next for MacOS. I hope it gets some love, cause the last few years it has been kind of neglected. And the Mac is the foundation of everything. I mean, what's the name of this website? Without the Mac, I don't even know if I'd be staying in this ecosystem.

"Apple is developing a dedicated Fitness+ app for the headset for those who want to use the device while exercising, and Health features will guide users through meditations"

Because I want to sweat with THAT thing on my head!
Stop overestimating. Most people working out don’t sweat they perspire a little. They feel like they are pouring sweat but they aren’t. Take a look at people “working out” they have a slight glaze so it’ll be ok.

What do I expect during the keynote? To be confused by about 70% of what Apple actually says because my knowledge of technology is not “hip” enough.

i expect to not ever see the vr head set render ever again. please make it happen.
There is always a possibility that they announce the headset and platform, but don’t show the actual product until later. This has happened with many other products, including the first gen folding phones.

curious to see how the m2 ultra will fair and scale up from the pro and max. I know the M1 ultra was powerful but there were some scaling issues across there.

Let's hope that the glasses aren't anything like the 3D model. VR headsets have millions of customer confirmations that no one wants anything "on their head" or wrapping around their hairline. Glasses, maybe, but already rejected in two key sectors.

it's been said that apple has set up testing areas for the device and testers have leaked that the device overheats. so at least some people will know what it looks like. but maybe it is an ugly prototype too.

Apple is expected to introduce its first new wearable since the launch of the Apple Watch, plus there are new Macs coming and notable features for iOS 17 and watchOS 10. This guide highlights everything rumored to be coming at WWDC 2023.

Hardware

We don't always get hardware at WWDC, and in fact, the event usually focuses on software. Every once in awhile, though, Apple has a new product to show off that's timed well for a June launch, and that's the case this year.
While the press rumors have brought much attention to a possible headset and some OS that it uses, this show still has an awful lot to encompass related to possible hardware additions and very obviously how the next OSs will work.
  • ‌iOS 17‌ is expected to offer some of the "most requested features" that have been on users' wishlists.
  • We could also see iPhone-style Lock Screen customizations come to the ‌iPad‌.
  • macOS 14 is the next-generation software that will run on the Mac, but unfortunately, we know little about it at this time.
  • Alongside ‌iOS 17‌, Apple will likely introduce new versions of tvOS and the HomePod software, but these are often light on features and less of a focus than other updates. We don't know what to expect from tvOS 17 or ‌HomePod‌ Software 17 as of yet.
Following the ‌WWDC 2023‌ keynote event on June 5, Apple will release ‌iOS 17‌, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, tvOS 17, and ‌HomePod‌ Software 17 betas to developers for testing purposes.

I think the last part is what a great many of us want to know about, whats new, how does it work, is it benefiting how I use Apple devices? Just a little less than 3 days now.

I imagine "typing in air" won't be on a keyboard type interface but more of a phone "keyboard" interface so instead of "typing in air" you'll get people twiddling their thumbs with invisible phones.

I find that unlikely, partially because some of the reason to announce a new product line months in advance is so they can show the design of the device before leaks do.

I think Apple's headset will be thicker than the concept device in this article. I wish these concepts would actually show these devices on people's faces.

When I hear that about iOS 17, I hope they are getting feedback from the right people. Because if they are, that means they will finally give us things like a theme store, ability to place icons anywhere, ability to remove the Homebar, and many many other things.

Also, that makes it sound like it’s going to be a huge update, unlike the rumors are saying.

I have hope, but I am prepared for disappointment, especially if it’s true they took valuable resources away from iOS to work on the goggles.

No mention of the iMac? Like seriously? At work we are facing the prospect of replacing the macs that are obsoleted by the next OS release with the same model as the last 2 years? They are losing model years faster than they are releasing them. This will be a big problem if there is not an m2 iMac

I can't believe the 24" iMac may actually go three full years without an update. Unless it will be updated later this year...

I don't think a 27" iMac is coming. It was discontinued because the Studio replaced it. Now with more Studio rumors, I think it's pretty clear they're done with the higher-end all-in-one.
