OK, guys, in November it'll be a year since we met. scem0's coming to Chicago in November and I need some suggestions as far as gifts go. (And yes, he will be able to read this, but he won't know what it is till he actually gets the gift). Sometimes I think it should be Apple-related, and sometimes I think not. Either way, it shouldn't be too extravagant. It should be simple and nice.

Ok, help me out!

He doesn't need to give me anything but smiles, hugs, and cuddles. He is his own gift :). But if he must give me something else, it has to be something romantic - I'm a very romantic guy, so keep that in mind, guys :).

Favorite flavours?

I'm thinking massage bar or oils here... ;)
I'm thinking I need to get that image out of my head.

But.....I would probably do something together, like a great dinner somewhere that is unlike any dinner you could or would have any other day.

Can someone give me some background info.

Sure, scem0 and I met here at MacRumors quite a while ago. We ended up liking each other so much we decided to meet in NYC late last November. The fireworks went off and we've been visiting each other whenever we can. The relationship has just been getting better, despite some rocky points. But hey, we all have those.

He loves tea...

How about some very fine, loose leaf tea and they make some really cool chinese tea pots

haha, no problem! :)

Here's another:

An Apple photobook with pictures of you guys together and pictures of places that mean something to you and him. They make hard cover, soft cover, small, large... whatever fits your mood :)

Now that's something I would not have thought of. Do I get them from the Apple store?

No, you do it right from iPhoto. Do you have iPhoto? If not, bring a cd of pictures to the apple store or a friends mac, open iPhoto, import the pictures, there's a button that says photobook, arrange according to the templates and send to apple.

Also, shutterfly, ofoto, and snapfish and a ton of other companies make photobooks too. No mac required.

Of course I have iPhoto. :) Thanks for the tip. And I have 2 Macs, a dual-core G5 and an iBook G4. I guess I should put them in my sig.

The photobook is a great idea. Thanks.

I've read very good things about this place, which, of course, scem0 shouldn't click on.

I would love to go there. Very unique experience, I'd guess. Not cheap, but memorable.

No- he definitely should not click on it! He'll have a heart attack! He's a "cheapy" and would kill me if I took him there. ;) But thank you, I've heard great things about that place too.

About those teas...I'm a bit of a tea whore these days and I don't know why, but there are some great teas (not loose leaf) that I discovered at the Barnes and Nobel Starbucks. The regular Starbucks do not have them as they're licensed with Tazo.

I have had the Vanilla Comoro (which was a nice mild black tea), Hot Cinnamon Sunset (amazing tea great for the afternoon), and a Holiday Tea which I didn't see on their site. It's holiday spices in a black tea. I am not a great fan of black tea, but their black tea so far has been great.

You can order a few little gift tins and a nice tea pot like someone said and have tea and a little dessert (something fancy that you don't get at the supermarket baker) in a park or something. I do not know what the weather is like, maybe a park would be dreadful.

Em's Tight Arse

Yeah Lee, I've heard that Em is a tight arse in some respects, so with that and a dinner in mind, it'd have to be Raman Noodles.
