What to heck is the 10.13 Supplemental Update ????

After updating my 15" MacBook Pro 2015 the startup time is 5 to 7 times longer as with standard 10.13 !!!

Was that the first startup after the update or start ups since?

2nd and 3rd startups are same as the 1st manual (after the automatic update restart) restart

After this update my Yahoo Mail is back to normal and working perfectly.

My Mac restarted normally after the update too.

Yeah ready the issues it fixed it seems to be some of the bugs that ere picked up with high sierra. Seems to have been a bug fix update.

apple should have warned people that it was going to take about 40+
mins and its of patience after 3 restarts

It should be standard practice to never do a software update especially an operating system update during any kind of time critical period.

Its like windows updates on pc, best to do them at night when not in use as they take forvever.

After 7 - 8 restarts the MBP boots faster, cannot compare, but seems to be similar as before the complementary update.

Same with my 2015 MBP. Went from 15 second startup to 45 second startup. Not even sure what I was thinking--why I upgraded to High Sierra. Guess I'm just dumb.

I'm not on High Sierra yet, still on Sierra but routinely my iMac's boot up time tends to get a little slower. When it happens I rebuilt lunch services and on the second restart afterwards I'm back in my better boot up time. Try rebuilding launch services and see if that helps. I'm waiting on 10.13.1.
