I put all my Movies, Music, etc. on it already as well as some backup stuff, but I'm wondering more in terms of Applications. Is there anything that would be good to carry from computer to computer? I'm looking for your opinions as I really don't have any of my own. The applications should be able to run from a portable Hard Drive and are best if they have no advertisements ("Portable Apps" software) and are cross platform (and if they aren't cross platform, at least they should be available for more than one, I don't mind putting 2 versions on the HD).

Why even worry about it unless you are missing some sort of functionality from your machine? It's pointless to recommend software for phantom problems.
