Well it's for them not you. They aren't going to call you on how to fix a problem or anything like that. Full just gives them more data on usage and potentially crashes to help them improve the product. The downside is they have more detailed usage data from you. So, it's just a matter of how much info you want to give them. The upside is the more aggregate data they have. The better their product can potentially become for you.

I as a rule choose no when prompted to send diagnostic data, its not an MS thing, but a personal choice, it doesn't matter if Apple, Adobe or MS is prompting me. I select no all the time.

There is no no option. Only Basic or Full.

I don’t. I don’t really care to be honest. It’s just anonymous data collection. I do periodically delete the collected data, but it honestly doesn’t bother me. I think I have it turned on for my Mac and iPhone as well. Bigger things to worry about that collect more personalized data than that 🙂

Yeah believe so, mine are on W10 1809 as there working systems so don't need any surprises 🙂 Reality is you cant avoid data collection at some level these days, however you can be smart about it and limit the footprint.

In windows, I set my to minimum it permits, but I don't go any further. i don't really go the extra mile to stop it completely.. I really don't care but I choose not to overshare. For other prompts from adobe, apple, or whomever, I choose no.

Because I enrolled in that insider program it says Windows Insider manages that option, but it doesn't look like much of interest. I am sure the assistants such as Siri/Cortana/Alexa/Googe collect a lot more data. As do the web browsers. I clear cookies out all the time. But even so, phones track where we are, grocery stores track what we buy. What are you going to do 🙂
