I hate going to retail stores to get my iPhone. Last year I went to AT&T and the employee opened the box, tore of the screen protectors with out my permission, and then threw my iPhone 4S onto the counter. He was a good 6 inches above the counter and just plunked it onto the counter. I was beyond pissed.

Apple store actually let me cut open the plastic wrap on my iPhone 4 and do the unboxing myself. At the time I was just thinking "okay, whatever." I asked him why he didn't just do it, and he mentioned that a lot of customers like to be the first to open their new product. Makes sense.

I don't know what a carrier would need to enter as all phone ordered online ship ready for the customer to activate by themselves.

Apple understands this, AT&T workers don't.

If you open up my iPhone 5 box, and tell anyone you let me leave with it sealed, I will come to your house, and I will cut you!

I've been buying phones from the same apple store every release and now we have a relationship to the point where after I purchase the phone they say how would you like it and I just say "the usual" and they know what I'm talkin about.

When I picked up my 5 the other day, ol boy didn't even ask to set it up O_O. He just packed it up in the bag and handed it to me lmao
