What to stick in my ExpressCard/34 slot?

What should I stick in my kitchen drawer? it's the third drawer down underneath the utensils. It's empty and I just don't know what to put in there!!!! Help me decide!!1111

Not bad! I have the exact same computer 17" 8gb antiglare your boot time was 19.5 seconds with the SSD, mine was 32.8 seconds without.

Does the extra drive back up with time machine? I noticed you have an external HDD so I assume thats what you use it for?

Yeah the extra drive backs up with time machine no problem.

I can think of a multitude of things, and they're neither family friendly or safe... I recommend doing what feels right.

Hard drive, SDXC Card reader, extra WiFi (more powerful), 3G Modem, extra FireWire, extra Ethernet, USB 3.0...

Everything that requires a high-speed I/O, or just extra I/O

Yep, in the unibody MacBook Pro series.
You could also have a Late '08 15". Those had an expresscard/34 slot as well.

You can do the same thing with a large enough SD card (check out videos above.
