Who knows if there will even be an Ultra 4 next year, that one may be in a 2-year cycle now, and then problably they would not release a new SOC for the standard Series and live the Ultra behind….Will be interesting to see what ends up happening next year.

Probably nothing. Most people upgrade their watch because the one they are using is too old, damaged, or wants a new watch every 2 years. The issue is that watch is a well developed product where the updates every year is very small and it is viewed as a "crash grab" more than an actual upgrade. Yes true the display is "better" and you get 5G service on the U3, it doesn't give the user an "urge" to upgrade.

Agreed. Still using my original AWU purchased December of 2022 and I have zero urge to upgrade. Will probably hold on to it until a significant design change.

I'm kind of over the Apple Watch at this point. I got really tired of the Ultra and just went back to a Series 11 after purchasing the Ultra 3 this year. There's literally no point in owning the Ultra (at least for me anyway). The workout features are all the same and if I'm wearing the Apple watch as my only watch the Ultra just doesn't pair well with anything outside of casual wear. Yeah it does have longer battery life but its not like I'm out in the wilderness and can't pop it on the charger in the morning when I'm in the shower where it will get fully charged in just a few minutes.

I might go back to it one day if they made it look better or added something that was really different than the regular Apple watch, but for now I'm just series 11 and that's all I need.

The reason I decided to get an Ultra 2 is for the flat display so I don't have to mess with curve screen protectors and the battery life. Compare the U2 and U3, I don't see much difference (if any at all). Costco was selling them for $8XX CAD over the black friday sales. I picked up the place card, looked at it, and put it back down. I was like " the price is the lowest I have ever seen, but I will use the $ for something else).

Feel this so much. I just have zero interest in the Ultra. Hate the size, design, and price and really like all of those of my 11. But the Ultra is the only way I can get the watch face that I want because of artificial constraints.

I'm the same way with the Hermes watches. I love the Hermes faces and the bands and since the Ultra 1 I have just had both Apple Watches. I got tired of switching back and forth and for me the regular Apple watch is just more versatile in that it can be paired as a dress watch or a workout watch.

I tried the Ultra multiple times and always after a few days, returned it due to its size. The S11 does more than I need and I only use about 20-30% of the battery daily. The few features the Ultra does have over the S11 Ti would be seldom, if ever, used by me. For the people who need the extra battery capacity, the Ultra is your choice. I just refuse to pay the weight and size penalty when my sleek S11 Ti does what I need.
