Paid off a 'big' loan I took out to help my Mum out. I won't ever see a penny of it again

Tell me about it. For 3 years I havent been able to do ANYTHING right at the point of my life where I should be doing everything.
Switched to Mac!

That reminds me of how nice it would be if Macs were made in Germany under their strict quality control.
graduated college, made my own decisions, finished my first semester of graduate school, and made it through knee surgery recovery while still maintaining good grades.
Had my first grandbaby, she's GORGEOUS. Then I got married to the grandmum. I talked my way into a huge raise so I may decide to stay where I am for another year.
Over all, a very good year and the prospects for another one look really good. So far.

Took the wife to Montreal for our first vacation without kids. A bigger accomplisment than it sounds.
Became an uncle for the second time.
Got a job (no more working for myself).
Met a girl I really like, and who likes me.

Oh yeah...back in February. It took us nine months to get off our duffs and start planning the wedding, but it's now set for September 22nd.
In order of occurance:
I got my 4th iPod.
I started my own website.
I tried to ride a horse, but miserbly failed (is that even an accomplishment?)
I got a free laptop.
I successfully aged to 17 years.
I applied for a job (I didn't get it, but that was a huge step for me)
