iCab has some nice features as well that other browsers don't have (without add ons), like the page outline and page validation with the unique smiley face rating system. It deserves some more attention. I didn't realise it was WebKit based now though.

And a lot of people don't realize that some of the features that other browsers are famous for, such as OmniWeb's Site Preferences, are also in iCab. They're just named differently.

I use Firefox and the main reasons that I do are (a) adblock and (b) the ability to dropdown the address bar so I can search through the URLs that I have recently visited. I haven't found another browser, besides IE, that does that. I'd love to be enlightened of others if I'm just wrong.

Omniweb, with occasional use of Firefox 3 beta on sites that don't like webkit browsers.

Firefox still does a better job of handling Tabs (for me) than Safari, so I'm staying with it for me. If Safari used a couple of Firefox's tricks for tabs, I'd switch without hesitation.

i still can't believe I bought omniweb's licenses.

Im using firefox 3 most of the time.

Safari is very difficult to use for me, tab is difficult to use, remembering password is difficult to use, single window mode is difficult to use. adblock is difficult to use. inline search is difficult to use, no drop-down list at url bar for surfing history, have to download all the files in same location....etc,,, etc

I try it from time to time, but too many inconvenience forces me to close it very quickly most of the time.

Safari with PithHelmet and Inquisitor beats FF for me, its not even my secondary browser, losing out to Camino.

2.2Ghz Macbook: Firefox (Safari only when I need to quickly grab an .flv file)
333Mhz Powerbook Lombard: Internet Explorer 5 (I used to use Opera or iCab)
25Mhz Powerbook 160: MacWeb (though I haven't connected in years)

To be honest, i would LOVE to use Safari. I started using it, and it's just SOO quick to load up pages it's awsome.

The only downfall to safari is that some pages are not compatible with it. That's something that i DON'T like. So i use FireFox 99.98% of the time.

Example. myspace on Safari wouldn't load up my page with all the background i set up on it. So i though i was doing it wrong. Turns out, when i downloaded FireFox and saw myspace, that background came up and i was REALLY HAPPY, but sad that it was not viewable in my safari.

Then i went to www.bmwusa.com to build my car. When i clicked on it, nothing would load up. Then i reloaded and reloaded and nothing. So i thought something was wrong with BMW web site. After a month same thing, so i tried it with Firefox and the pages loaded up fine and gave me access to build my car.

Also on the bmw site, to pay a bill, when i would click on the links nothing would happen, but in Firefox it would work fine.

SO, since most of the sites i go go don't always work on safari i still with FireFox. It's not a bad Web browser. I believe on the of the best out there. I would love to use safari because it appears more solid web browswer, BUT not all web pages are compatible so i have to use Firefox.

PS- I use firefox with isafari add on skin. Looks good!

And Netscape and IE are both discontinued, IE is even unsupported. They should both come off the list.

I think netscape is pretty much dead...
Why? I'm still gonna use it - at least - until it's execution date... best browser out there at the moment, for my use, anyway.

Firefox 2 just isn't the same after trying NN9, and FF3 isn't ready yet. The beta 2 is close, but no cigar, and even that has some features I strongly dislike.

Camino is a very nice and potentially a replacement, it just has too many issues - a couple of them real deal breakers - for me, that is...

Safari... nah... not in it's current form...

D*mn, AOL, discontinuing the closest thing I've come to a perfect browser, ever... :(

So in your opinion the best browsers are Internet Explorer, Netscape, and the one that was closest to "perfect" was AOL????

Not IE, but Netscape 9...

Which is basically a slightly tweaked, skinned version of FF2...

Don't care about IE, and that was discontinues ages ago, NN isn't even dead yet (albeit dying). And as long as (both, but especially NN) are still in use why shouldn't they be on the list...

yeah i guess your right. hey it's whatever is good for once use.

I am a person that likes to strictly use 1 web browser. I've changed a lot of thing about the way i use the PC since i switched over to the mac.

Maybe using two web browser will happen, but in the meanwhile i like to use one or the other, and since some websites are not compatible with Safari, i use Firefox. I feel safari is quicker but FF is not that much slower. With the safari add-on skin, it's ok.

safari with a sprinkling of camino every now and again. I tried Opera for a couple of weeks and I like many of the features (speed dial and keyboard shortcuts) but that was about it. Many pages didn't load properly so I went back to the good ol' stand by: Safari.

XP- IE7. It's not great but it's fast and doesn't have all add ons and features that I don't want.
OSX- Safari. Again it's just another browser that doesn't throw stuff at me.

On OS X, I use Safari and sometimes Camino.

On Windows, I use Firefox. Not 100% sure why but I can't stand to use Firefox on Mac, feels weird.

I'm still using Netscape 7 and have IE 5 also, that's how out of the loop I am. Of course they're on the G3 iMac with OS 9.0 that I'm typing this on.

I had no idea either of those weren't still popular till I began shopping for a new computer a couple of weeks ago. About time I joined the 21st century.

That's exactly the same as I have it. I did use firefox on both, but then just got fed up as they were taking up hard drive space when what was already there worked perfectly well for what I do.

Your buying a BMW yet you use Myspace? What are you, a 14 year-old millionaire?

Safari and Camino as backup for me. Second the whole Firefox-is-nasty-on-a-Mac thing.
