I would have to say a tie between the 3G and iPhone 5. At the time the first iPhone came out. There was a lot of talk about 3G. I wanted the iPhone but there were a few other models out there that were just as good. They all had about same specs for camera but the network was still slow. It didn't replace a laptop or computer. When 3G came out, I left my office and surfed on the Internet from the couch. No laptop.. The iPhone. To me, the fact that it changed a habit is why it became perhaps the best ever. I decided not to buy a laptop and have not upgraded a pc since.
However, even the 4 did not replace my point and shoot camera. I love taking pictures and the small upgrades from the 4s to 5 makes it the perfect replacement. I hate point and shoots at night events but I was really surprised at how good it did at a recent concert. I think this phone replaces my P&S. also the LTE speed. When you get better download /upload than yor wifi at home, that's impressive!
