I totally agree with you. Having read entirely too many forums on here, though, I can see some users getting upset that their $400 device is presented so vastly differently than someone else's $600 device.

Though nobody complained about iPhone 5c packaging, so I could be way off base.

I could maybe understand if the SS came in completely different packaging but from looking at photos it seems it's just a different shape of the same white plastic. Honestly I kind of like the sleekness of the Sport packaging. But I don't put my boxes on display. I save them for resale.
