What will happen to iPhones 4, after September 31st?

? Cuz the media and blogs are saying since the Free Case Program end that day, that Apple will announce iPhones "4.5" which will have new antenna and improved reception.

Is this true, do anybody know???? 😕

I heard it was true. Also, it will run on Verizon and be able to run Android softwares.
 
Originally, they were stopping the free case program at end of September because the were going to start bundling bumpers in the box. Now it turns out antenna gate was overblown so it's likely they'll just stop giving out the cases altogether. At least that's the impression i got from articles...
 
What is September 31st? There is no such thing. The month of September ends in 30th. Apple cannot give free case forever. It's as simple as that.

Apple will not change the design of the iPhone 4.

The best case scenario would be that Apple would coat over the antenna locations with non-conductive material.

Nothing will happen until the next iPhone comes out next year.
 
Yup, I heard it from someone who overheard Steve in the men's room at Grand Central Station...

"The new improved iPhone 4.5 will be released on 9/31/10 and the super duper iPhone 5 will be released early on 4/1/11. Should solve all the existing problems. It might be a little larger than current models, but will have a strap to hang over your shoulder and external microphone thereby eliminating any antenna, and proximity sensor issues!"

You will have exactly the chance of seeing an iPhone 4.5 on September 31 as you have of seeing that date itself.
 
The white iPhone will be released. The manufacturing "difficulties" that apple talked about was a sham that allowed them to build the white iPhone differently to alleviate the problems. No harm, no foul since the white one was never released, the public can't complain that apple changed the design after millions already bought it.
 
It will come out on Sept 31 in an alternate universe where they use different calendars and the iPhone 4 is powered by exotic particles and does not have a battery and connects wirelessly at 20mb/sec.

Yup, it's now made of antimatter. No more attenna problems or dropped calls!
