I don't use AOSP ROMs, I use AOKP and custom kernels that I optimize. Ive been running 4.2.2 since mid to late Feb. And I didn't say 4.2.2 ran perfect out of the gate, but within 30 days it was pretty close. Thanks for calling me a liar. Here's a nice screen shot from goo.im showing Feb 23rd as the earliest release date for 4.2.2 on the ROM I have always used. Next time you might want to use facts instead of personal opinions.

Lol and when did 4.2.2 come out? Feb 11. Your custom rom was 12 days late . Hah.

Also, aokp is aosp based. Did you not know the difference between aosp based and touchwiz based ROMs yet? Wow.

Sure updates usually make things faster, smoother, etc. But unless I had a problem with the S3, why would I care much to the point of being so impatient? Your making untimely updates seem like it should be a deal breaker for most when it's really not.

It is a deal breaker. Having a flagship lag against an year old phone thanks to discrepancy in updates is pretty pathetic.

And I was not even arguing here for joe six packs. Do you know for sure if the OP belongs to that category who doesn't care about updates and sprang up to defend your precious OEM?

Most iPhone users that attack those of us that are both Apple & Android enthusiasts have little if any knowledge about Android.

They're comments reveal that many have no understanding of Android, other than its a competitor that's pushing Apple hard as Android becomes more dominating.

If an android enthusiasts doesn't know much about what they are taking about, who has more understanding?

Also since when did defending Samsung's galaxy line equal understanding android?

FYI, Nexus 4 did not get 4.2.2 on the 11th of Feb. You couldn't even install a hacked version until the following week.
Regardless, your point is moot. You wanted everyone to believe that Nexus 4 head 4.2 long before any other phone could get it. You were wrong.

Oh, and if you want to split hairs, TW is AOSP based. Did you not know that? Wow!

lol, nice moving goal posts. Of course it is a skin on top of android. We are talking custom ROMs which are generally divided in two categories: a) created straight from AOSP without OEM interference and b) modified OEM ROMs with OEM source intact. Don't try and teach me son.

And the nexus 4 had 4.2.2 before "following week". I remember getting an update notification a day before Valentine's day which is on 14th.

And then consider this:

Where is a 4.2.2 ROM for the GS4? The new badass from samsung?

And:

The only forum with some work going on is a CDMA carrier device (CDMA is basically non-existent here in Canada now):

And none of those are without major issues yet. All of them i would not consider using for a daily driver for at least a month.

And what happens in a month?

The nexus 4 is already chugging along on 4.3 with babel, new under the hood improvements sand probably UI refinements too. Security patches etc as well.

No matter how hard you try, nothing beats a google phone when it comes to straight direct android support.

The truth of it is is that even when the 5S comes out the hardware in the S4 will still be far superior. For the sake of all the mobile phones on Earth Apple put a dual core in the iPhone 5, when many of the other phones out there are now on quads.

You can argue that the benchmarks favour the iPhone but simply put it's the same with computers half the time it does show real world performance or the user experience.

when iphone5 came out s3 was about $350-$450, so by the time iphone5S comes out, i think Samsung galaxy s4 would be around $350-$450.
Well, I do believe the S3 started at a lower price to begin with (off contract).
So, you need to take that into consideration.
