I bought a 6GB mini six months ago and while I love it, I have already outgrown in and there's more music on the way. What has everyone heard about an updated iPod and when is it supposed to arrive?

if you want to stay with the mini, i think the largest 1" disk is an 8GB one that just came out (so figure in like october an 8GB mini)
much more likely is an ipod shuffle update or something with the regular or photo ipods

Well in the next iPod update, some say that the current 4G iPod will be phased out, leaving the iPod photo to be crowned as the 5th Gen. If this happens the iPod photo would have room for price drops too.

Bluetooth would be nice. sync it to PowerBook, next gen consoles, mobile phone etc. and because its iPod and what, owns like 75% of the market incorperating a wide selection of syncing options would be nice. i say 75% because anyone getting a next gen console will probably have an iPod. popularity and all that.

the 80gb regular iPod drives will be available soon, so i'd guess they'll be going in to the top end iPod, and all the regular iPods will become colour, so maybe apple will introduce a differently shaped video model with a bigger screen to keep the variety in the line and give it a new high end?
