Get a grip people. I've never heard anyone complain when Motorola or Samsung released a Cingular-only phone. If it matters so much to you to have the iPhone, then switch carriers once you can. If you don't want Cingular, then you don't get the iPhone - simple, isn't it?

ppl have high hope for apple, thats it.

Last week a so called expert talking about the expectation of MWSF on NPR, he said "because apple always want to control as much as they can, so they can provide user best quality, so apple will provide a cell phone network together with the new iPhone". I guess thats pretty much many ppl's expectation too. Its both reasonable (to have high hope) and unreasonable (to establish a new network). lol

My place is too small for iTV to be worth it since my TV and computer are in the same room. The iPhone will be mine when my existing phone and 2nd generation nano both get beaten up enough or if I end up becoming a massive phone and e-mail junkie before then. No rushing out to buy either of the products announced today though.

I ened up with a big  on my face. I had classes until 6 hours after the keynote, so I came home to find... not what I expected. I hoped for a new mac. So, to sum it all up, I'll end up getting nothing from this MW

No immediate plans, but I would like the phone at some later time, perhaps in a couple of years.

EDIT: Technically, if the Paramount movies count as something from MacWorld, that's a definite possibility. I've still been wanting to try buying a movie off iTunes.

It is not that iPhone being cingular only that is the problem. It is how this useless device has effectively eaten up this year's macworld with nothing to show for it.

That's what pisses people off.

Useless device?? Uhm.. No.

Sorry, but I think *way* too many people expected *way* too much, if this iPhone doesn't meet their expectations. Because IMO, this thing is AMAZING, and does what no other device has been able to do before.

Maybe, but put it another way...
1) how many people you personally know will give up their existing phone contracts, sign on another 2 years with a provider that might not necessarily be the best for them, and on top of that shell out another $600 for the benefit of using the iPhone?
2) For the rest of the world this announcement is essentially moot. We will see the phone next year in 2008. Wow it is barely 10 days into 2007...

Of course you also didn't address the main point of my last post. This macworld essentially has nothing to show for it right now. No new Mac Minis to order, no iLife 07 upgrades, no iWorks. No nothing. Everything is shipping Feb at the earliest, and even then they are underwhelming.

airport, probably, esp. if price comes down a bit.
the phone--can't use it here in korea, and i don't like cell phones, cool though
iTV? useless, i think

iPhone definitely
Apple TV, that's a bit of a toss-up. Depends on when I get an HDTV and the way my content sources end up.

I agree. The one thing I was going to order by tonight and they don't even announce it. :( Something's up...

It'll be here soon enough.

And I don't understand those that were hoping Leopard would be announced for release today - Apple was very clear that it wouldn't be coming until Spring.. why did so many people think that was going to change?
