I'd have to contimplate on what to do for a few days. My position is i can't afford to buy an IPhone sim free so I will have to get a phone on contract. Right now the Samsung Galaxy SII is a contender but I would consider waiting for the new HD version IF the new IPhone doesn't float my boat.

It won't be easy leaving Apple I've had all the IPhones but I would feel like other options are worth a try this time if a redesign doesn't surface. I think Apple know the competition and with the amount of time inbetween devices I think they wont disappoint :)

I'm getting whatever they unveil on Tuesday. I remember reading a lot of posts after the unveiling of the 3GS complaining about the fact that it wasn't a "major" update. I went ahead and got one on launch day and it was one of the best electronics purchases I've ever made. So, based on that experience I'm going to give the new phone a shot even if it isn't the update some folks want to see.

I'm going to buy it. I have a 3GS now, I love the design of the 4, and Assistant is going to be incredibly useful - both because of it's integration with all of the stock apps and because it will be connected and integrated with most app developers that choose to be a part of it.

Likely will try out a galaxy s II or a droid bionic, or wait to see what the nexus prime is all about.

There is no such thing as "just" an upgraded iPhone 4. At MINIMUM, you will get an upgrade that Forbes called the most revolutionary UI upgrade ever, in the history of technology. If that's "just" a small upgrade for you then I'm sorry, better go buy a knock-off Android phone that burns through batteries in 7 hours.

Well I've actually never had an iPhone. Mainly an Android user here. I was planning on picking up the 5, since the rumors were that it was going to have a larger display. 3.5" feels a little cramped for me to type on honestly. The smallest phone in terms of screen size I've had is 3.7 on my Nexus One and even that felt claustrophobic. If the redesign doesn't pan out, I'll probably just I'm more than likely gonna be looking at getting the rumored HTC Holiday on AT&T. Should be more than enough to hold me off for a year until the redesigned iPhone comes out. I actually would be really disappointed if it's just a 4S type device. I was looking forward to trying a new OS out and experimenting a bit. I just can't see myself moving backwards in screen size though....

why would they only release a "4s" if they've waited on the upgrade an additional 3 months than normal? they have something up their sleeve.
