What would be the best CD or DVD player for Mac?

I don't think either one of those will be compatible with BluRay.

 

I don't have a USB Blueray DVD burner but I think they run $80 to $90 on the cheaper side.

 

I am sure you can find some for cheaper. years ago I bought a Samsung one, and I don't think I paid more then $60 for it.

 

OP:

The drives you listed in post 1 CANNOT burn Bluray discs.

Drives that CAN burn Bluray will cost more -- figure about $90 at the lowest, probably a little more.

If you're going to get Bluray capability, I suggest you also get a drive that is "M-DISC compatible" as well.

 

I have a Samsung "506" DVD/CD/Bluray (no M-DISC on this one).
However, I don't believe they're making them any more.

You'd probably want to look at Pioneer and LG drives (assuming they still make them).

 

The Pioneer is "quad layer", whereas the LG is "dual layer".
I'd take the Pioneer...
