Nothing should cause it to but I would update your OS no matter what to 7.1.2 and that might resolve it.

I've started doing a weekly reset since I noticed sometimes "Find my iPhone" will say my phone is offline. Even when I'm holding it and use the GPS with a good data signal. It's a little unnerving actually. I filed a bug report with Apple. This was in iOS 7.1.1.
