we are all stuck with the 27" just because of the video card !!!

no sufficient stock ? no chipset available at all ? different format ?

My theory is simply that its not the mobility version of the card, and Apple is the only customer in the world of the mutant shaped version they are using, and thus stock is low due to the sudden demand of an essentially custom part from ATI (or whoever makes the physical PCB card) who just didn't get ramping fast enough.

yes but they didn't decide oevernight to take this chip

    conception takes weeks or months

i can't believe ati hasn't forecasted any significant stock to respond to the demand
