It's probably just like if a car salesman owns a Honda but works at a Ford dealership. Nothing says he has to own a Ford to work there and it would be ridiculous to make such a requirement.

I worked for Apple retail from when the iphone launched through iPhone 4. They did not care. Actually if you didn not have one it was easier to leave because you had to check the serial numbers of Apple devices with your managers to prove they were yours before you could go home. Several co workers had other phones.

I guess anybody who does anything serious for work isn’t going to be using a Mac, lol. Obvs phones are a different matter

Interesting how a lot this serious work happens on Macs.

    For example?
99% of the world business uses PC's
    Banks use PC's
    Hollywood uses PC's

Hollywood uses Macs (well studio secretaries might use PCs)
    Architects use Macs
    Photo editors use Macs
Pretty much all cool, new, tech-y companies use macs (Airbnb, Uber and the like)

    Sources?
Edit: Photo editors use PC's aswell, music producers use PC's, architects use PC's etc.
What do you think has the highest market share? Not the Mac.

Meaning no serious work is done on Macs? And that there aren't even whole companies or at the very least all kinds of divisions within various companies that mostly use Macs, as has already been pointed out in thread about that kind of thing before, like https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/who-uses-macs-in-the-business-world.2149445/ ?

Those are some vague examples and that's not my point, your point is that if 1/10 business uses a Mac then "business uses Macs" they do but not in larger scale, especially if you check the market share and how cheaper it is to get powerful computers compared to Macs, there's no Macs for post production in Hollywood for that reason.

Fun how you begin talking in absolute terms (there are no Macs anywhere) and then when several people proved you wrong you tried to make things relative (market shares, scale etc.). Not much use in discussing with you if the goalpost is moving all the time.

PC has the highest market share. Fact.
Macs are used for business. Also a fact.

If you want scientific evidence with the highest accuracy, maybe it's MacYale for you and not MacRumors.

My point was in response to someone who basically said that no real work gets done with a Mac, which is certainly not the case.
